Cómo escribir artículos científicos: Normas de Vancouver

Buscando bibliografíaCuando se está investigando llega un momento en el que se expone todo lo logrado en un manuscrito. Ya sea un artículo para cierta revista o una tesis, al final se debe seguir algún tipo de normativa que estandarice las formas con que se presentan estos proyectos de investigación.
Una de los estándares que se siguen en ciencias biomédicas son las Normas de Vancouver: En 1978, un reducido grupo de Editores de revistas de medicina general se reunió informalmente en Vancouver, British Columbia (Canadá), con el fin de establecer requisitos de formato comunes para los manuscritos remitidos a sus revistas. Este grupo se denominó Grupo de Vancouver. En 1979 publicaron por primera vez sus requisitos de Uniformidad para la preparación de manuscritos, en los que se recogía también el estilo desarrollado por la National Library of Medicine (NLM, Biblioteca Nacional de Medicina de Estados Unidos de América) para las referencias bibliográficas. Posteriormente, el Grupo de Vancouver creció y se convirtió en el Comité Internacional de Editores de Revistas Médicas (CIERM), con reuniones anuales. El CIERM ha ampliado gradualmente sus intereses, abarcando también el tratamiento de aspectos éticos rela- cionados con la publicación en revistas biomédicas y de ciencias de la salud.
Pues bien, os dejo el enlace de la traducción oficial de esta normativa. Sin embargo, lo que si que quería dejar en este post son las normas que se rigen a la hora de completar ese «famoso» apartado de «Referencias bibliográficas» que tantos quebraderos de cabeza suelen darnos. El estilo utilizado se basa principalmente en una norma de estilo ANSI adaptada por la National Library of Medicine (NLM) para sus bases de datos. Se incluyen en una última revisión, las referencias obtenidas en medios como blogs. Os dejo este apartado de ejemplos aquí, en forma de cita:

    1. @Rosemary, your problem is because of the mobile applications to control a faster access to contents is not in English. You have to switch off the option on the bottom of the web page in the mobile format to switch on to the normal web site and you can translate all contents with the translator tool siting on the sidebar then.
