And the news is "Made in Spain". The research team, Department of Anatomy and Embryology, University of Granada has shown the possibility of reducing the doses of drugs involved in the fight against cancer when used in combination with gene therapy through the suicide gene E. This gene causes cell death of tumor cells that cause breast cancer, colon and lung and prevents further growth. Rama says Ballesteros Ana Rosa, a researcher who has conducted the study, the gene and induces apoptosis (cell death) through damage in the mitochondria of tumor cells. Early studies have shown it can reduce up to 100 times the dose of chemotherapy drugs used in combination with gene therapy, resulting in inhibition of tumor growth of up to 21% for breast cancer.
We are on the right track.
